ABOUT ABOUT
Saturday, March 26, 2011 marks a historic evening for The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan as we celebrate one of the most esteemed activists fighting for the rights of women - Jean Ledwith King. We will honor Ms. King in a special ceremony to rename The Women's Center as the new Jean Ledwith King Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan.

Ms. King's successes have advanced the vision of self-determination for women and girls and led to more equal opportunities in education, employment, athletics, and politics — a mission that parallels the goals of The Women's Center. The Women's Center is committed to gender equity and provides comprehensive services for women and girls to achieve self-determination in their emotional and economic lives.

Through her work as an activist and attorney, Ms. King has touched many lives. Legal, athletic, and educational communities from all over the country will be in attendance for this event. Your generous support in recognition of this heroine and pioneer for women's rights will benefit The Women's Center of Southeastern Michigan, and provide the chance to be associated with a historic evening.
